Memories

My Aunt Doris was absolutely was one of the funniest and fun loving people I have ever known. She really had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. Some of my most vivid childhood memories are of spending time with my mom's sister, Aunt Doris and my brother and cousin Steve. We were always going somewhere together. Steve, Charles and I bouncing around the back seat and our mom's up front smoking and always laughing about something. Those two were like an instant party together and us kids got to be invited. Whether it was something truly fun like spending long lazy summer days at the Johnson City public pool and eating homemade lunches of pimento cheese or painfully boring for us, like going to the paint or fabric store, they always made it an adventure. Aunt Doris was also very kind and loving to others. She will truly be missed by many. There is no doubt that Aunt Doris, my mom and her brothers are playing practical jokes and cutting up in heaven. I will miss you Aunt Doris. Love Always, Patricia Hunter Shannon
