Obituary for Frances B. Smith (Bledsoe)

Frances B. Smith, 90, of Kissimmee, Florida, died Wednesday, at the Florida Hospital of Kissimmee. She was a native of Blackwater, VA, daughter of the late Joseph W. and Gladys Beaman Bledsoe.

Frances was a retired receptionist and former member of Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church. She moved to Florida in 1956 and was now a member of the First Methodist Church of Kissimmee.

In addition to her parents, her husband, McLynn Smith in 2003 and a brother, Joseph “Buddy” Smith, Jr, preceded her in death.

Survivors include: two sons, Donald Smith of Orlando, FL and Larry Smith of Jupiter, FL; two brothers, Bob Bledsoe of West Palm Beach, FL and Jack Bledsoe of Kingsport; a sister, Carolyn Jean Lane of Big Stone Gap, VA; a granddaughter, Denise C. Roads of Sebring, FL; a grandson, Donovan Smith of Monroe, NC and a great granddaughter, Savannah Smith of Monroe, NC.

A graveside service is scheduled to be conducted on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Monte Vista Memorial Park under the direction of Rev. Bob Edmonds. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the Morris – Baker Funeral Home to leave in procession by 1:45pm. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
